VoIP for Everyone
Over the last few years, and especially during COVID, voice-over-internet-protocol (VoIP) has become a very widely purchased service. Nearly every IT Managed Service Provider (MSP), Cable and Telecommunications company, and many in between have started offering VoIP.
Our Founder and President Justin Smith saw this trend well before it became as popular as it is now and started putting plans into motion to form a new kind of VoIP phone service. But there was a problem. The market was already flooded with expensive, troublesome VoIP services which gave many a bad taste for the subject.
Take cable and major telephone companies for example. They have all launched their own VoIP services of some kind on their massive networks which include millions of end-users and customers. Some provide internet to your business already and bundle telephone services in and give you rates that seem great up-front if you sign a contract.
But what happens when the internet goes down? Or, what happens when you don’t know how to transfer a call? Do you call your provider and ask for help? If so, have you ever waited for less than five minutes for someone to answer (and solve the problem)? Were you provided with understandable documentation on how to use your new devices? Even just basic features seem to be written in an alien language.
Long story short, and we all know the ending… major telco companies rarely meet the needs of small and medium sized businesses. They do provide products which work – until they don’t. It’s always the “un-breaking” of things that are most difficult.
That’s where Voice 9 is different.
Local VoIP Services
Based in Maryland, Voice 9 is a local VoIP telephone service and Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) provider. We’re not publicly traded, we don’t serve millions of customers, and most importantly, we don’t outsource anything. Ever.
Voice 9 focuses on providing the best and most reasonably priced VoIP services to business. Our exceptional service is built on more than a decade of working with small businesses and municipalities IT and telephone needs. We understand your challenges, your resources, your needs and have created our support model in this image. When you call, we will answer. When you need help, we will provide it. We will never sell something without being prepared to support it.
We’re a small business, just like you. When a salesperson is in our office, we all take part in the conversation. We want to know how is the product going to help us make more money or be more efficient with our work? Most products solve a challenge or increase efficiency. But are they essential? Could you operate without it?
You need working telephones. Especially with the uncertainty COVID brings to business. For the last two years, we have been providing top-notch support to our customers. Even when we were down staff, most issues were resolved same day. In fact, 90% of all Voice 9 support tickets are handled from creation to resolution within 15 minutes. Big telco cannot match that level of service.
Affordable VoIP Services
One of the deciding factors in the creation of Voice 9 was one of our IT clients. We made a recommendation for VoIP services from a big telco provider. This client, at that time, had three employees in the office. After the telco sales team conducted their initial sales qualification, it was determined this small business needed ~$450/month in VoIP telephone services and locked them into a two-year contract. After our assessment, we determined the customer need ~$130/month in service.
Yes, it is your responsibility to understand what you are purchasing before you sign the contract. But it is your service provider’s responsibility to provide the best value for your hard-earned dollars. We’re the VoIP experts and have years of experience extracting requirements from your business. For example: just because you have 20 desks, doesn’t mean you need 20 phones. There are more than 100 features available for purchase (75 of them included in our Standard Extension) – it’s unlikely you’ll use them all and we don’t push unwanted features on our customers.
Voice 9 will never sell you more than you need without advising on the services first. Our top priority is your business. When you’re successful, you’ll need more employees which means more phones for us to provide. It’s a win-win.
You’ll find our pricing is reasonable, affordable, and simplistic. Bundled extensions provide the majority of the “licensing” you need. Of course, we can provide add-ons and there will always be taxes. But those are easy to understand as well. Look at a Voice 9 bill and you’ll know what you pay for.
We don’t charge for support unless we have to. In fact, most issues and problems are handled within minutes, over the phone or remote. This is included in the price you pay monthly for your phone service. For more complicated problems where a site visit is required (which are rare) we charge a flat trip fee.
Voice 9 Features
Big telco and other VoIP service providers in the area charge at least $29.99 per user/extension. Typically, this does not include the DID (telephone numbers) and other features your business needs. Voice 9 charges $24.50 for a standard “bundled” extension which includes:
- DID/Phone Number
- Unlimited local and long-distance calling
- Auto Attendants
- Call Ques
- Text-to-Speech
- Email Voicemail
- Mobile & Web Browser “Soft” Phones
Our Premium Extensions also include much needed features like unlimited eFax for only a few dollars more. Most of our competitors charge $19.99 alone for just eFax capabilities.
You’re Important to Us
All of our customers matter to us. As a small, local business, we cannot afford to not give everyone the attention they deserve. It’s amazing when we get to watch our clients grow – and with their success, comes ours. You’ll meet our owners, engineers, managers, our entire team. How many times do you get that same level of attention from big telco or other providers?
We sell great VoIP phone services but it’s our support and service model that sets us apart.
